Prosecco di Valdobbiadene d'Arcane - £9.99
The Bortolotti family offer Prosecco from the prestige subzone of Valdobbiadene, considered a premium environment for growing Prosecco grapes in the fertile Treviso hills, just 30 miles north of Venice. Here yields are naturaly low and the resulting concentration is matched by crisp acidity. Prosecco Frizzante is a naturally sparkling wine made by secondary fermented in tank (Methodo Martinotti) to a lesser pressure than Spumante. The result is a delightful but gentle mousse, attractive fragrant bouquet, bread and nut aromas, green apple flavours and a refreshing spritz.

Lagrein Spumante Rosato Bortolotti - £9.99
Cultivation of Lagrein in Alto Adige usually results in the tannic red wines Lagrein Scuro, or Lagrein Dunkel, or the fragrant rosé wines Lagrein Rosato, or Lagrein Kretzer. Lagrein produces wine which has high acidity and low pH and Bortolotti have taken these qualities to produce a soft fruity sparkling wine, with hints of violet. A clear foam and perlage with a toasted almond aroma. Delicately balanced and light in acidity, this garnet coloured wine is a shining example of the quality you can expect from Bortolotti.
