Fantastic Night out. We went to the Rock and Blues night at Rachells a couple of weeks ago and it was fantastic. The food was great and plenty of it and the venu was just brill. As for the staff they could not have been more helpfull. I found out that the owners had been away and had used a manager for the last 2 years and had now come back. The room was realy nice and set out very well. i got to give them 5***** stars. You really should give it a go. i found the web site very well set out too www.rachellsandmosscotage.co.uk

25 of us went on saturday 6th december 2009 and it was rubbish the whole night was a disaster, they had a bus to pick us up with 2 pick ups, the first pick up hadn't been made by the time the 2nd group arrived at the meeting point, the main courses were bought out with no veg and by the time it did come out most of us had eaten 3 items that were on the plate otherwise it would have been cold! A glass of wine was knocked over during the clearing of the main course plates 3 of our group had to wait nearly 30 minutes for coffee and a mince pie, 1 of our party had cream spilt all down her dress by one of the waitresses and the disco didn't start til gone 10. we complained to the manager who said she didn't care and was goin to fetch the police to us as we refused to pay the full £25 each! we paid the balance and then a few of us wanted to leave so they got the bus ready for a drop in sutton and a drop in mansfield as agreed only to get half way to sutton the bus driver got a phone call telling him he couldn't take us to mansfield and that he's got to take us back to rachelles so we said no chance and got left in sutton and had to make our own way back to mansfield! so from this we will not be going back there!

we went for christmas party 23/12/08 it was the worst party ever! there was only our group in the whole place. the food was rubbish .no christmas tree! no decorations we all left by 10.30 !! stay clear!
