New broom here - called in for first time in 6 months as heard there was a new chef and as Iso bored witht he sameness of everywhere else in Ayrshire I thought best check it out - what a difference. New menu, interested ataff, good atmosphere. Delicious prawn starter, fab fish (no not fired or battered) friend had steak with yum sauce, great twice friend chips. I will go back as I saw lots of interesting dishes being served around me. All freshly cooked.

As 4 Canadians currently resident in Scotland we want to register our disgust at the service at the Riverside Inn on Saturday, 6th August 2005 (6pm). The food was reasonable, but not exactly what we ordered and despite making it known on two occasions during the meal no attempt was made to correct the errors. NEVER AGAIN! We'll certainly be passing the word around!
