Situated along the original main highway through Bedford, along the stretch where, appropriately the East meets the West. This exciting new restaurant has been opened by two of the most experienced locals in Mediterranean cuisine.
Both are well known and their histories in the supply of high quality food are well documented.

Their personal history is less well known, but still qualifies them to be called masters of the food they are serving. Unlike many of their opposition, these two were born in the area their food represents, and both have supplied similar products to the discerning Bedfordshire public.

Hussain was the initial barbecue grill master and chef when the original Greek villager opened, way back in 1980. Also well known from the hot food division of a butcher, his experience cannot be questioned.

Leon must surely be remembered from his own take-away in Bromham road, where he served some of the FIRST kebabs and associated products in Bedford. Long before these other pretenders.

More recently they have decided to open THE SAHARA RESTAURANT.

Governed by the excellent food found around the mediterranean this restaurant is supplying the better known signature dishes from Greece, complimented by fantastic selections from Persia.
Mouth watering starters, satisfying main dishes and tempting deserts. All supported by a fine selection of wines, cognacs and other spirits (such as ouzo) from their well stocked bar. Oh yes! They have a vast choice of soft drinks for the teetotaller as well.

You’re not sure??? Well parties are catered for, and you can choose traditional English, or other, fare. If you want to be boring. Just call them and discuss your requirements.

NOW TOP THIS. As well as the excellent selection of food and drink, there is the great entertainment. Including live Greek music, a beautiful Belly dancer and the age old favourite of male dancers complete with all their associated antics
