With a rude manager who put our team of 4 adults and a baby as far away from the rest of the patrons as possibly, we can genuinely say that this is not a child friendly pub. The young waitresses though were polite and smiley which was comforting. The food was maybe above average for pub food but it was ridiculously overpriced. One starter, no wine and 4 mains and sodas later we came out with a £90 bill.. As for desert.. we can't tell as we were not offered the desert menu at all, because the pub was closing (even though we arrived at 1.30pm we were offered the bill at 3.30pm because the pub was closing to prepare for the dinner...?!!) Would not recommend this pub for the food or history, as there is almost nothing left other than a few beams and the roof. The waitresses were asked about the history of the place and replied that it was probably a 19th century building... nice.
