After reading the reviews we decided to give it a go but would never go back! All the food you are served is frozen or packaged. In my opinion the kitchen are just heating up brought in food. I had avocado with prawns to start and the avocado was black and the prawns had no flavour. The sauce was the worst I have tasted. My partner had mussels in a white wine sauce but the sauce was salty and too thick. My main course of fresh meat raviolli turned up but was infact chicken tortellini (after cutting it several times to see if it was chicken of cheese as it was so mashed up) The sauce was made from tinned tomatoes with a few herbs. The waitress told me that the chief decided to serve me that instead! My partners pasta dish was made from dried spagetti with a similar tinned tomatoe sauce. We sent our food back and said that we wanted to leave but that we were prepared to pay for what we had. The owner shouted at us and threatened to call the police. I would not recommend this restaurant to any one. You are better off going to a supermarket and buying pasta and a sauce and heating it up in your own home. No wonder the lights are turned down so low that you can't see what you are eating.

A real find! Located about 15 metres from Caterham station. From the outside this restuarant looks small and somewhat plain. There were no internet reviews however we decided to try it out. To our surprise and delight it turned out to real "hidden treasure" It a small family ownwed place with about 20 seats and a real Italian Chef. The decor is a little dated. However the menu was mouthwatering and we had alot to choose from. For starter I had some Calamari, my wife had garlic snails, and my friends both had Mackerel which we all enjoyed. There was a huge choice of Italian dishes including Pasta, Fish , Veal, Steak and Chicken. My wife and I opted for Veal dishes in the end with potatoes and mixed vegetables. I would like to think we are quite choosy about were we eat, and I can say we were all thouroughly impressed. We had both rose and white italian house wines which went down nicely with the meal. For dessert we had a loveley home-made Tiramisu. In total a 3 course dinner for 4 people, with 2 bottles of wine came to about £100, which is quite reasonable. Atmosphere/Decor- 6/10 Service /Staff - 9/10 Food - 9/10 Value - 8/10 Overall - 8/10 Summary- A friendly, down-to-earth place with high quality italian home cooking. I would definately recommend trying this place. Colin & Nellie Sinclaire - 30th June 2007
