Ate here last Friday, 15th Feb. Ordered a dry sherry and was served with Croft Original which is a cheap poor quality dryish sherry artificially sweetened. Fortunately it was only in a miniscule glass and was replaced by an equally miniscule Tio Pepe, on the house. Next, in the restaurant, ordered a Plain bread roll, I do not like garlic bread so naturally a hot roll from the oven was served stuffed full of garlic butter. This was sent back and the same roll was returned after what was left of the melting garlic butter had been scraped out and replaced with plain butter. Unfortunately the garlic butter which had melted into the roll was not removed; totally unpalatable.Starters and main courses were quite good and the portions were generous. I ordered cheese instead of a sweet, a huge portion of blue dolce latta was served which fortunatley I enjoyed but there was no choice offered. The wine ordered was a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc and was well chilled and very tasty but since similar wine of the same vintage can be obtained in Sainsbury's or Tesco's for £5:99 max, a reasonable charge for this in any restaurant would be £12:00 and at £19:95 this was a rip off.
