WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!We were a group of 14 adults with 2 kids and booked for a birthday celebration.We decided to go for £16.99 pp set vegetarian meal with eat as much as like option! Right from the start the manager was rude and not helpful at all.The starter portions were so small we had to order same starters 3 times.The service was appalling and very slow!It took the 45 mins to bring a jug of water!!The food was bland and not very good.The worst was yet to come when they put meat in some of the dishes and eggs which we had explicitly emphasised when we booked that we didn't eat meat or eggs! They didn't bother to replace this dishes and when we wanted to order main meal dishes the manager started being awkward and hesitant in giving us anymore dishes! We decided not to pay the 'Discretionary' service charge after the awful experience and the manager started swearing and shouting to some members of our group infront of other customers!Then he locked the door of the restaurant and refused to let us leave until we paid the service charge!!He threatened us and became very aggresive! We had to pay the service charge in order to leave!!He then followed us outside wanting to provoke a fight!! This is probably the worst experience in all our years of eating out in the UK or abroad we have ever had!!
