we were a party of 9 who had a meal at the Gateway in Eastleigh last Saturday and were very disppointed and will not be returning. 1. They had run out of tonic. 2. Despite our table being booked for 7pm we were hassled 4 times before then to sit down. 3.We were put by the toilets and all we could smell was the air freshener. 4.The waitress was non welcoming and gave the impression of not wanting to be there. 5.We had to return 2 steaks as they were icy cold in the middle. We asked for them to be cooked "blue" but as they were obviously frozen this was impossible. We should have been told that they couldn't be cooked as we liked in the first place. 6 We asked for strawberry ice cream but were served chocolate. We paid quite a lot of money for our night out and it was to celebrate a birthday. Not once did the duty manager come along to apologise.
