Found this family run Greek restaurant to our delight, now we are regulars. The food is authentic and delicious, the service is friendly. Highly recommended. Sarah

I lived near Hazlemere from 1995-1999 and Santorini's was one of my family's favorite restaurants. It was not only for the food, which was always excellent, but for the wonderful hospitality of the owners, Fred and Maria. They always made us feel like family, which was one of the reasons we became regulars and also why we chose to spend our last evening in the UK in their company. I am back in town this week and Googled the restaurant to see if it was still open. That search took me to this site and the two previous reviews, which were very distressing. I almost skipped going based on what I read here, but decided it was best to see for myself. I found the place exactly as I remembered it. Good food and a very hospitable and welcoming host. I am sorry that the other reviewers had a bad experience, but that bears no relation to my own. I will definitely return on my next visit to the area.

Santorini is by the far the worst restaurant i've ever been to. The service was ok, but the attitude of the waitress and the manager was totally unacceptable. In total there was 8 of us eating, and 3 of the meals were not up to scratch. We politely spoke with the waitress and told her that 3 of the main meals were not to our liking despite having eating the same food elsewhere before. The waitress would not entertain our complaint even though we were very polite and said we cannot eat this food. We were told " i don't know what you're complaining about, we've served many of this dish today and had no other complaints". Another dish had red fluff on the plate. The waitress again didn't want to know aboout this. We were told in no uncertain terms that if we didn't pay for the food and drink that she would call the police. We asked to speak to the manager who was just as rude as the waitress. He would not entertain our comments and echoed the comments of the waitress about calling the police. The manager said " In Greece if you don't eat the food we call the police". I replied saying "well if you hadn't noticed you're in High Wycombe !" He didn't want to know and just wanted us to pay and leave We ended up paying the full bill and left. As we exited the restaurant, the manager locked the door behind us. If you are reading this with a view to going to the restaurant, then please please please give it a wide birth. If you want argumentative and rude staff, rubbish customer service and overpriced food then go ahead...... trust me you would get better customer service going to Mac Donalds or KFC !!!!

This place is terrible. We went midweek in January and of course, it was empty. The first thing we noticed was the cold draft that came up from downstairs and made the place far from cosy. The room itself would be okay, but the tables are plain, the decor is old and dirty and likewise the carpet. This should not be confused with ambience and authenticity. We shared a very plainly presented Greek salad which came in a small bowl similar to the one my son has his cereal in in the mornings. It consisted of a bed of lettuce, with a tomato cut into quarters, sliced cucumber and a single piece of feta cheese. Even if you hadn't been to Greece and followed a simple recipe you could do better than this. Where were the onions? The olives? The olive oil? And LETTUCE?? The main course was no better. My frozen - then reheated - vegetarian moussaka was tasteless and drowned in heart clogging cheese. My friends' meals were desperately plain and equally tasteless. I have no idea what sort of customers are keeping this place open, but you'd have to have very low expectations to enjoy this place. In these hard days, I don't see how a restuarant like this can survive. It's the kind of place Gordon Ramsay would rip apart in one of his shows. I hope they survive, but they have got to do better than this. Much better.

This restaurant is our family favourite. It has an extensive menu to suit every taste, is extremely welcoming and they can happily cater for the allergies in my family. Very warm, happy relaxing atmosphere.
