I went to the Bow Window with my boyfriend for our 6 month anniversary, it was our first meal at a 'proper' restauarant and therefore a special occassion. We were reccommended the Bow Window by my parents who had been there for meals previously and enjoyed them. On arrival we were asked if we had a table booked and we said yes, gave our name and the time of our booking. The waitress told us to wait in the bar area. Other customers were given menus and their orders were taken, they were then taken to their tables. My boyfriend and I were not given a menu or taken to a table. Other customers came in who had later reservations than us and they were also given menus and taken to their table. We were completely ignored for the next 45 minutes, no one even bothered to look at us after we arrived. We felt so embarrassed we decided to leave and go to another restaurant. The service that we received at the Bow Window was disgraceful. Personally, I feel that we were ignored due to our age. We felt that just because we were young we were not as important as other customers and we were made to feel very uncomfortable and unwanted. I would definitely not recommend the Bow Window, especially not to anyone under the age of 40.

We were recommended to the Bow Window by friends and have returned many times with friends or by ourselves over the last couple of years. The Atmosphere is calming and the food the best I have taisted. The staff are friencly and add a personal touch. If you are looking for something special then you really cant go wrong with Robert and his team. Well done and thanks for many a great evenning Conrad

When I moved to Ramsey many years ago I was told by a man from Huntingdon about the Bow Window. It turned out to be an absolute gem. It's ideal for an excellent meal, served by the well trained and polite staff. Many people go there for special occasions and I can see why. The meals are first class and the staff polite and friendly. Well worth a visit.

When I am given pre-buttered sliced packet bread to go with my food I should know that the meal is not going to be of the highest standard. Unfortunately the Bow Window thinks that it is high quality, but the food is average and the service abysmal ("these are potatoes with cheese, but I can't remember the real name"), yet the price was not much less than a top london restaurant. I wish we'd stayed in and bought some nice food to cook ourselves since it would have been a better way to spend a saturday night.
