I have good meals and bad meals, but I think this is the furthest I have ever travelled to receive some of the most impressively poor service in my life. After battering down to London from Sheffield, my partner, some friends and I arrived at our pre-booked time of 21.30, only to find that the waiter had no idea what time it was, or in fact even had a table prepared for the 8 guests due to arrive at the restaurant. When he had finally dragged 2 tables together and seated us, handily by the kitchen, bar and cash register (THE busiest area of the entire building) we sat down to begin ordering. No menu. when this finally arrived, we attempted to order 1 bottle of house red, 1 house white and a jug of tap water. the lady who looked at us at this point disappeared! only to be replaced by the gentleman who man's the cash register, who proceeded to stand there and tell us off for ordering from someone who is not a waitress or who speaks any English. when asked if he could serve us, he also just disappeared. Eventually we received our wine (no complaints on the Red, but the White was not pleasant.) we also received the bread, which had bypassed stale and was heading towards brickwork. By this time, my partner had been walked into 3 times by staff, with no apology, only now to be elbowed in the back of the head. This pretty much ended my urge to be in the place any longer. A decision was made for everyone to leave, discussing our issues with the only identifiable member of senior staff. Who stifled giggles when she heard of the problems and refused to get a manager. until she realised that no one was coming fourth with any money. At this point the manager surfaced and to his credit offered both free wine and food, depending on the continued experience within the establishment. In everyone's eyes it was too little too late. No plans to return,

My Partner and I travelled down from Sheffield to go to this restaurant to enjoy a lovely meal and spend time with our friends. This however, is not what we got at all. Our table was booked online for 2130 and we were sure to arrive at this time, only to be greeted by a waiter who thought it was 2030 and did not have a table ready for us at all. He had to hurry to the back of the restaurant and drag some tables together and lay them quickly, leaving us just standing around. Next once at our table, which I may add was next to the kitchen! We asked a waitress for 2 bottles of wine and a jug of water, she looked at us confused, said that she only speak Italian and ran off to get one of the bar staff who, effectively, told us off for asking and said we need to speak with a waiter, when asked if he could possible get one he just did not reply. There is no way in this restaurant to tell which staff you MUST leave alone and who are the really waiter's. After much trying to catch the eye of a waiter, one came over and we told him what we wanted and he brought us the wine we had asked for, but no water and he had disappeared again before had chance to point this out. We again had to fight to get a waiter's attention just to get some water. We then got our wine and the free bread, which was as hard as a rock! By this point due to the poor positioning of the table the waiter out together for us, I had been knocked into around 3 times. But to make the evening that bit more 'lovely', a waiter bashed me in the head with their elbow! They didn't stop the see if I was ok or even turn around to see what they had hit. By this point none of our party of 7 where happy and so our friend who had booked the restaurant went to explain that we where leaving and the above was the reason why. The lady had to fight to hold back her laughter as he explained and then refused to get the manager. It was not until we where heading for the door did she go and get him. I must say he was the only one that seemed to care. He offered to move us and give us the food for free if we did not like it, but then went on to say that the food was great, thus implying that we would end up paying because we liked it.
