Porters English Restaurant was established in 1979 by Lord Bradford who stated that “Porters would serve good quality real English food at affordable prices” Some 26 years later the policy of keeping standards high and prices low is still very much the order of the day. Specialising in fresh homemade food, the best sellers include Steak, Guinness and Mushroom Pie, Beer Battered Fish and chips not to mention the wonderful puddings including Steamed Syrup Sponge or Bread and Butter Pudding.
