I went to Sangria tapas place on Saturday and it was one of the worst food I've ever had! We were there for a friend's birthday. First of all the waitress was more busy drinking shots with her friends at the bar than serving us. I personally ordered two tapas (squid and mussels). When they arrived, the calamari was cold and it tasted as if it had been cooked 3 days before, it had no taste really, it was horrible. The mussels were half-warm, as if they had been heated up in a micro-wave oven, they were definitely not fresh. When I told the manager about the squid, he got annoyed instead of apologizing! What he did was to take the squid and put it back in the frying oil. It still tasted the same. I would never go back there again.

Visiting my friends in London, we came to this restaurant in Leyton. As we come in we were surprised how big the restaurant really is we decided to stay in the beer garden at the back (really worth eating there as you feel you are in tavern in Spain or Portugal). The service was quite good, we were served by a waiter who I'm sure was south Africa, with a big smile and making sure we were ok all thru the night. The food is a mixture of tapas and food from Madeira Islands. My friends had some tapas but I had to go and try the famous chicken piri-piri. In less than 20 min it arrived. I do have to say that I have eaten chicken piri-piri in others restaurants including Nandos but this was something different!!!! Really tasty food was completely taken by the taste!! Best chicken I can remember eating!! My friends were also extremely happy with their tapas. The price was quite good for all the food we had. :) Over all it was a great night with good company and great food. Would highly recommend to anyone. Can't wait to go back to London and go there...... and to see my friends too!!!
