The Waterloo Bar and Restaurant décor creates a very relaxed and intimate dinning experience, however, the high ceilings and open kitchen keep the room fresh and spacious. The floor staff are efficient and professional and they understand how to be attentive without being intrusive. Head Chef, David Greenhalgh, sources the freshest seasonal ingredients and insists on making everything himself; from Chicken Liver Pate or Cumberland Sauce to Lemon Tart or Baked Chocolate Fondant. The dishes are simple but delicious and although the menu deliberately appeals to a wide range of people it is still interesting. The restaurant also features different specials every day. The restaurant is the direct neighbour of The Old Vic Theatre and it is two minutes walk from Waterloo Station. Many Old Vic Customers choose to have post-theatre meals as the Restaurant is so close to the Theatre and it is very easy to get home.
