Boxwood Cafe, knightsbridge cost per head=£65 approx We were looking forward to experiencing a Gordon Ramsay restaurant, however, we were very very disappointed. The ambiance is very nice, and first impressions are good. The food selection is varied, however after starters and main course we decided that the food was very rich and there were too many different tastes on one plate and they did not compliment each other at all. We sat down at our table at 6pm. Just before 8pm we were having coffee and were shocked when the waiter came over and told us that we had to vacate our table because the next party was waiting! I had booked the table 2 months prior to the day and an e-mail confirmation did not make any reference to having to vacate the restaurant by 8pm. We expected that maybe we would have to go to a lounge area, but we were not expecting to be thrown out!! We had no warning that we had to leave by 8pm and were not told this before we started the meal. We told the staff that we were unhappy with the service, but they made no effort to be apologetic. they just explained that it was company policy! For four of us the meal was £260.98, with £28 service charge. We would have not minded paying that price for a quality, relaxing meal, but we will never go there again and will certainly not recommend it! There are many other quality restaurants in London!
