We recently ate at Boulters in the fine dining restaurant and to be honest, it was comparable to some of the finest 3 star restaurants we have eaten in, include the nearby Waterside inn. Food is well balanced and clever combination of ingredients and perfectly executed in a breath taking enviroment. matched with equally polished service. Having dined in the fine dining restaurant, we wanted to try the bar food and found a equally polished menu, perfect for the surroundings, simple classics done well! As for the previous review - we tried the butternut salad and the seeds on the salad where the perfect finishing touch, after all butternut seeds are almost identical to pumpkin seeds so why shouldn't they be in salad! I totally recommend both restaurants within boulters, great value and quality.

Just re-furbished restaurant with a very nice bar/eating area upstairs overlooking the Thames, delightful setting but very little adjacent parking. The food in the restaurant is some of the best I've tasted and so I was keen to sample the food served in the bar. My butternut squash salad was ruined by the scattering of butternut squash seeds throughout the dish. These were stringy and in my opinion inedible, this was also confirmed by my dining companion. I suggested to the waiter that he inform the chef that the addition of these seeds did not enhance the salad, he returned from the kitchen with the comment that chef said the seeds are edible and that seeing as he trained with Gordon Ramsey that he, therefore, knew what he was doing, hmm not sure I'll be going back again! I did ask to have the seeds returned so that I could send to Gordon just to see if indeed he did think they were edible!
