Hmmmm. Nice atmosphere, but gets very noisy later on as you're all packed in quite tight. Food okay - nice but almost too much of it? - I had to leave some which is a first for me? However, expensive for what it is, service was bad - reaching across the table to pick up glasses, cutlery etc - one time hitting my girlfriend in the face as the waitress did it. But the most annoying thing was being presented with the bill with an "optional" 10% service charge already added on to it - and this is still added on when you get the card machine to pay - you can't take it off unless you want to make a scene by handing the machine back to the staff - this alone will mean that I won't be returning.

We were recomended Godots by a local friend of mine and quite looked forward from the previous review to the entertainment of the Neanderthal chef. Unfortnatley he was not to be seen and nor did we have the need to summon him. I did have the chicken and it was in a rather rich sauce but it didn't taste like tescos or asda. My boyfriend had the duck and said it tasted like daffy. Our parents had the salmon and enjoyed it. Overal this restaurant didn't have the 'x' factor, however it was reasonable and service was polite perhaps a little slow at times.

It was a Saturday night and some friends and I were looking for somewhere to eat, we came across Godot's Retaurant tucked away around the corner. It looked inviting and the wonderful scent of home cooked food as we approuched the door. We were greeted by a very feindly and professional waitress ( with a wonderful smile)who took us to our table the atmosphere was busy and vibrant. I had the Seafood bake with Parmesan and my friends decided to try the Steak, Shoulder of lamb and the Salmon fishcakes! Absolutely amazing, the shoulder of lamb was something out of this world! I would highly recommend coming here to anyone looking for a worthwhile time out! Met the owner a stunning Blonde! I could not beleive she was kept tucked away cooking our food!
