I don't usually write reviews on websites but I feel I have to set the record straight in view of the comments dated 20-07-2008. I discovered Gino's about 7 years ago when a good friend said they were going to their `favourite local restaurant'. With such a big build-up I had to give Gino's a try myself. Since then my wife and I have been several times a year - usually with parties of family and friends. It is a smallish, convivial place - often with a bit of friendly banter; a bit like dining in the front room of a friendly Italian family. The menu is good value and the food is always top quality; it has never disappointed. Friends we have taken there have always come away saying they had a great evening. Gino's is one of our favourite places - what more can I say?

What a bid disapointment! We arrived at the hour of opening and was informed that the owner of the restaurant was detained ?? The restaurnat soon filled with what appeared to be regulars. How the staff insulted them !! Totally rude. The food was O.K. but nothing special. One regular, a pleasant looking young man called George, was told he would have to pay for his meal beacause it was slightly different ?? The atmosphere was nil. The music was repeated time and time again even though the regulars requested Dean Martin, a sure fav. The owner never appeared, we were tod he was out with his burger van ??? His name is Fred and he is well known for dishing out the dirt on his regular customers..what a disgrace. We were befriended by a guy named Fisky, ??, who told the whole restaurnat the actual goings on there. Avoid !!!
