If you want to see a prime candidate for Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares BEFORE Ramsay then this is the place. Initial service was good but we were quickly told that there were mistakes on the menu we had been given and that "It changes every week". We ordered from the specials menu and the fixed menu to try the place out. The starters we ordered were listed as Thai Crab Cakes and Salmon & Spring Onion Fishcakes but when they arrived there was 1 of each with some salad without dressing. Both cakes looked like they had been in the deep fryer together and tasted of other fried foods. However, the table next to us had the prawns which smelled really good. We waited a good half hour for the main courses. Crispy belly pork with garlic and Filleted Sea Bass. We too received one bowl of vegetables between us consisting of red cabbage, potatoes and carrots. The whole bowl tasted of red cabbage. The belly pork was fairly good and the table next to us had the steak which they seemed to enjoy. After I had eaten about 1" into my "filleted" fish and dealt with the mouthful of bones I descovered that it was raw. I have never been served a dish in a restaurant I could not physically eat so I told the waiter in confidence who told me he would see to it. After waiting while my partner finished her meal mine then arrived piping hot, the fish was cooked but the risotto was then dry. The chef came over and told me that he was sorry and he would "Get me a beer mate" which I refused. We asked for the bill and were dissapointed to find no effort of any ammendment. I mentioned that we weren't happy with the service and were told that I ate half of it so it must have been alright. He eventually agreed to charge me half price which prompted the waitress to wisecrack stating that "Everyone is trying to save money" and imply that I was trying it on. Very unprofessional. Some sort of mini domestic followed between them so I paid my bill and left. We've lived here 3 years and have only just tried the place. There's probably a good reason why it's always empty. This is nothing but an honest review so if you decide to give it a go, go for the prawns and the steak!
