I visited this restaurant recently and it was a very disappointing experience.The service was very inattentive, we were not offered drinks throughout the meal, no condiments were served and we weren't asked how our food was. The food when it did arrive, after an hour of waiting, was very average. It was edible but no different to eating in a Harvester. I will not be returning here and will advise others not to bother trying it, there are better places to eat in the area.

you may read on here about bad responses but i can tell you i have been in here many times and will go many times more as always i have had a good time in here and the staff and manager and manageress are great i to am a food critic as i was a chef for many year in the uk and Switzerland and can tell you that the bad ones on here i think are sour grapes May the stay there a long time and keep up the good work but i to have to say if you do not like a place do not go but i like the Polegate old Station and the way it is done so i go time and time again

My family visited the restaurant for my daughter's birthday. The staff were very helpful and polite, the food was fantastic and delivered quickly. The waitress had a fantastic memory and remembered which dishes all 8 of us had ordered. The sweets were divine! The wine list was fairly extensive and very reasonably priced I thought. I would have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant to anyone.

my family and i had a wonderful meal there over the weekend the food was lovely and the staff couldnt have been more helpful i they have a childrens menu that my kids loved and they also did an adult small meal which my elderly mother loved i would truely recomend this restaraunt.

My husband and I had a bad experiance at this restaurant. He didn't get the meal he ordered and my salad was swimming in dressing, we didn't make a fuss but in return received no appology or offer of a price reduction. The lady who seemed to be in charge had no customer service skills with handling the sitiuation. We shall definately not return and will advise others not to go.

I took an elderly lady here for lunch and was so pleased with the food and service here.The restaurant is very clean and pleasant, I will certainly use this restaurant more regularly in future and recommend it to my friends

My Partner and I ate here at the weekend and had a lovely meal. The restaurant is compfortable and the staff were welcoming. I would recomend this place.

Things must have changed since the last person ate here as myself and my family had a lovely meal. The yound lady that served me was polite and efficient and we found that the food came out in good time.

14/2/08 Not a resturant that I could recommend. Food was swimmimg in water and the staff did not seem to careless.

I ate at this restuarant this evening 14/2/08. The meal was not very good, there were bad bits left in the potatoes, water on the plate. I was going to complain but I heard another customer complain and the lady he complained to, apparently the manager, got very up tight and did not apologise to the customer and demanded they leave for apparently even daring to complain. I would not recommend this place, I shall not go again.
