A little gem, hidden away in leafy Warwickshire. Food cooked to order, (not portion controlled drivel), attentive but understated service,with a friendly relaxed atmosphere. Proper 16th century beams, not a plastic pub. Good hearty food. To start I had the gambas - prawns tossed in hot garlic, butter & white wine which were served in a rustic bowl with crusty fresh bread. for my main course I had a chicken leek & ham pie, (proper pie, not in a bowl with a flaky pastry lid!), which was served with garlicky saute potatoes, carrots and leeks in white sauce....mmmm. I couldn't manage a pudding, but did have a great espresso to finish off.
