I had pre booked a table months in advance for 8 people on 5.4.08 and rang up before the date to order bottles of sparkling wine - not champagne - to be put on ice for our arrival as it was a special occasion. Nothing had been done. Although I had not ordered champagne (don't like it!) we were charged for champagne. When we raised this as unacceptable the owner merely shrugged his shoulders - not interested. Service was poor with no interest shown in anything that went wrong. The owner was in our collective opinions, discourteous, surly, miserable and disinterested in the extreme. We were harshly ripped off with the wine fiasco and didn't get what we had ordered. It was impossible to check the bill because nothing was itemised and we could have been charged anything. The "sparkling wine" was paid for separately but getting a receipt was going too far!! Complacency was evident and lack of interest high on the agenda - we will never go there again and suggest you cross this place off your list of places to eat! Service was appalling!
