I love this cafe, it's small and very pink!. The food is amazing, my favorite is the Thai Curries that they do every day. I have a Lavazza coffee from there every morning as it''s sooooo nice!... Great staff, always make me smile and laugh.

Poachers Rest - Ellon, Aberdeenshire

Wonderful little restaurant in a rather remote location but a warm welcome is guaranteed and the food is lovely. I had cajun salmon and it was fantastic. Portion sizes are spot on, I had room for dessert and the entire meal for 2 came to around £30. The decor is maybe a bit dated but it adds to the character, and the little placemats etc really suit the restaurant. Definitely not a bad word to say about The Poachers Rest, in fact I am off to phone and see if they have a table for myself and my partner this evening. Aberdeenshire is a wonderful area, the drive up to the restaurant is like a little wildlife show, owls, deer, buzzards - fantastic!! 10/10

Now becoming a regular at this restaurant due to its fantastic food, since we moved here in August, very friendly great atmosphere. I can't understand why the place is not fully booked, perhaps they need to advertise more. Try for yourselves and pass it on.

A nice restaurant that's not as pretentious as some of the local alternatives. Good service, good food, child friendly and welcoming.
Chimneys At The Woodman - Sevenoaks, Kent

Having passed the Woodman en-route to Ide Hill & being impressed with the setting I booked a table for 4 on the 22/4.
The whole setting & the olde world interior leads one to believe that standards would be high.Regrettably that was not to be the case.
On entering the Restaurant we found out that it was a "DIY" operation.Ie the customers do all the work hopping up & down to order drinks/wine/first corse/second course/dessert/coffee even to finally paying the bill at the bar.
I found that amazing especially as there was at least 8 staff on duty.
The prices were certainly not even competitive £14 upwards for most mains.
After duly visiting the bar on 3 occasions to place orders .
The wine was brought to the table & plonked down with 4 glasses Staff evidently unable to open bottles & pour wine.
An order of duck bread was tough & impossible to cut with the cutlery supplied. The Venison S African casserole could have been any kind of meat as it had been cooked to death. It was served in a ridiculous iron couldron with a pot of rice. How was I expected to eat it out of such a ridiculous recepticle.A typical "JUNK GIIMIC" in my estimation.
On to the desserts Apple crumble was a some kind of apple slime surrounded with cream.Again complaints were made & some sweet yukky cheap ice creanm was served.Again complaints were made this time to the "Manager"Apart from deleting the cost of unsatisfactory meals & a request for the bill to be provided to us personally NOTHING HAPPENED.
THIS ESTABLISHMENT SUFFERS FROM BAD STAFF ATTITUDE PROBLEMS BEING A POORLY MANAGED OPERATION..
I SUGGEST "THE MANAGEMENT" TRAIN ALL THE STAFF STANDING AROUND CHATTING & DRINKING HOW TO OFFER SERVICE TO THE TABLES.QUALITY OF FOOD SERVED EMPLOY A CHEF WHO IS CAPABLE OF COOKING THE ITEMS ON THE MENU & REPLACE THE "BROUGHT IN DESSERTS" WITH HOMEMADE.
I would add that the Chaser in Sittingbourne is booked solid for the next 3 Sundays & Sophies choice A Restaurant with a high long term reputation provides excellent service to the tables wine is poured for sampling prior to filling all guests glasses subsequently.Allmain courses are circa £10 & a three course meal with wine & intro drinks is circa £25 This includes copious cups of Coffee with mints as well at the end .Tipping is a pleasure here .
Having worked for 30 years in Management in the catering Industry my advice to th "Management" of the Woodman is Leave the Indusrty & let someone take over who knows what they are doing & what the Competition is like.

What a disappointment ! . On entering we were ignored for 10 minutes , then, when finally seated our waitress didn't come back for 10 minutes even though the place wasn't busy . We then watched as the lady on the table next to us stormed out, as her order which she had placed 50 minutes prior, had been forgotton to be processed through the till and she didn't want to wait for another half an hour . We were then served luke warm , machine coffee and my daughter had to wait another 10 minutes for her milkshake, which had no cream etc .We ordered the combo platter , when it got to us 45 minutes later, the mushrooms were still frozen , the chicken wings were only just cooked , the potato skins were solid and dry , and the salsa solidified . It was all pretty inedible, and very expensive ,( not that we paid for it as i refused). We watched as our waitress was more interested in bad mouthing her supervisor behind her back and less interested in seeing to rectify our meal , and when i did finally get her attention , she took just the mushrooms off , gave them back to the chef who then proceeded to cook some more and wanted to present them nearly 15 minutes later in which time we had discovered the rest was rank .Also various customers with small children were wandering about as the kids were getting bored with waiting . The music was also not inkeeping with the theme of the place, and there wasn't many smiles or ambience , the outside could also do with being smartened up and more accessable . If this is new venture for the owner, i would offer advice that this place really does need some attention, if not , take comments on board as your losing custom fast !

Kinara - Uckfield, East Sussex

My husband and I are big fans of Indian cuisine. So as soon as Kinara in Bell walk opened we went to check it out.
I must say it was a great surprise to discover such a beautiful place in Uckfield !
The restaurant is hidden away from a busy High street and is situated in a little side street near the river with a really nice decked terrace overlooking the water. The waitress explained to us that the word "Kinara" means "by the waters edge".
The superb round building is mostly made from glass and has a stylish design inside: With black curtains, black and white table linen and mood lighting giving a beautiful cozy atmosphere!
Cheerful, helpful stuff, nice relaxing music and most important of course excellent food!
Inspired looking starters. Mine was "a tree" made from cucumber and lettuce, surrounded by tasty red prawns; Peter (my husband) had "a tower" of vegetables with pieces of tandoori chicken around it almost too good looking to eat!
Then it was followed by cute white pots with our favourite Beef Lobia and Biriyani Gosht.
Oh, it was so delicious !! Our compliments to the chef he had done a fantastic job !!
A bit of kulfi for dessert and we fell in love with this place.
I recommend it to everyone who is after good food loves curry and good atmosphere !
Grill n Grill - Wembley, Middlesex

Disappointed with my first order, despite the food looking so good in the actual restaurant.
Ordered a call and collect takeaway, when I got home, only some of the order was in the bag and what was in there was cold and barely worth a portion and portion sizes were different for the same thing.
Service was pretty chaotic and some of the servers in there were clueless, hence half my order missing. Also, my order was prepared when I got there but was left sitting on the counter, hence it being cold and me having to wait.
Other frustrated customers also hanging around waiting for their orders.
Will think twice before going back.
